Carlos will be in London this summer teaching and directing various informal drop-in 'guitar clinics,' to which players of all levels of experience are invited. The sessions will focus on developing technique, tremolo, learning new pieces, preparing for exams and lots more. Carlos Bonell, guitar with special guest Esteban Antonio playing the astounding ha-shem, a 3-necked guitar, plucked and bowed, an instrument of his own invention. Both brilliant guitarists with different styles, here is a unique chance to hear them in their own arrangements and compositions. Sunday 25th - Saturday 31st July, Gubbio Summer Festival, Italy

Carlos Bonell will give a recital on 29th July at 21.15. Carlos will be directing a guitar week between 25th and 31st July at this prestigious Festival. Students of all ages and abilities are invited to the guitar course directed by Carlos in a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere.

Saturday 5th - Friday 11th August 2010 Guitar workshop in Cubertou, South West France

Carlos Bonell will be directing his first guitar workshop in the beautiful location of Cubertou between Saturday 5th - Friday 11th August 2010. Students of all levels and abilities are invited. During the workshop there will be solo tuition, ensemble workshops, and technique sessions.

Queen Guitar Rhapsodies, album of the month at Tower Record Tokyo. The album has been recommended album of the month for January. The album is available from King Records is Japan from here

Queen Guitar Rhapsodies has been licensed for distribution throughout South Korea by major Korean label Music Zoo. The album can be purchased in Korea from here The Korean version of the album features slightly different artwork from the British release.

There are plans to release transcriptions of the solo guitar pieces from Queen Guitar Rhapsodies for purchase as a download. David Young and Carlos are looking to release the sheet music to Love of My Life, Who Wants to Live Forever, Nevermore and Lily of the Valley. This is in response to overwhelming demand for the arrangements by classical guitarists worldwide. The arrangements could be available by the summer, subject to clearance.

Queen Guitar Rhapsodies played on Vatican Radio! Radio Vatican have just dedicated a half hour radio show to Queen Guitar Rhapsodies. Broadcaster Meg Mason played tracks from the album on her show Melodies and Memories. The show featured the full length versions of It’s a Hard Life, Bohemian Rhapsody, Love of My Life, Who Wants to Live Forever, Teo Torriate and Play the Game.

Carlos is helping Sir Paul McCartney with a concerto for guitar and orchestra that the ex-Beatle is composing. Over many meetings since the beginning of 2006 Carlos has been notating and pre-recording the guitar part at Sir Paul's studio in England.... Read More
